From pattern to project

Turn your pattern into a finished kit

Your pattern is already finished, with every symbol exactly where you want it. So you need a maker that prints your file one square per drill, exactly as it is, instead of running it through their own photo converter and re-charting it. Here's where to send it, and what to tell them.

Canvas only

Option 1: Print the canvas only

Best for using up a stash of leftover drills. You pay only for the printed adhesive canvas.

  • Etsy print shops. Search Etsy for custom diamond painting canvas and message the seller before you order. Many small shops will print a customer's PDF chart straight onto canvas and cover it with poured adhesive. Send the full-size canvas PDF from Diamond Painting Maker, give your exact canvas size, and ask them to print at 100% so the squares match 2.5 mm square or 2.8 mm round drills.
  • PrintKK. PrintKK is a print-on-demand service that takes uploaded artwork for diamond paintings. Upload a sharp, high-resolution image of your chart, and confirm with them that it will be printed as-is rather than converted.
  • Drills for your stash. Short on a color? Your color list shows every DMC number and drill count. Suppliers such as Diamond Painting Drills sell bags of about 200 drills per color.
Full kit

Option 2: Get a full kit, matched to your chart

Best if you want the canvas and every drill in one box. The key is making sure your exact layout is used.

Most custom kit shops send every upload through an automatic photo converter, which can re-chart your design. Choose a maker that will match your layout 1-to-1, and tell them up front that it's a finished chart.

  • Pixelmade is built around pixel-perfect designs, where each pixel becomes one drill. Tell them you already have a mapped-out chart, choose square or round drills, and send your source file.
  • Paint With Diamonds reviews custom orders before printing. Add a note to your order (see the wording below) asking them to print your chart exactly as it is.

Before you send your file

  • Match the canvas to the grid. Each square drill is 2.5 mm, so a chart 200 squares wide needs a canvas exactly 50 cm wide (200 × 2.5 mm). Diamond Painting Maker already sizes your chart this way: order the same canvas size and drill shape you chose in the app.
  • Send your color list too. For a full kit, include the color list (CSV) or the color key page from your PDF, so the maker knows which DMC drills go with each symbol and how many to pack.
  • Ask for a proof. Compare it with your pattern, especially faces and small details, before you approve printing.

A note you can copy into your order:

“This is a finished diamond painting chart with symbols. Please print it exactly as it is, one square per drill, at [canvas size] for [square/round] drills, without running it through a photo converter. The DMC color list is attached.”
